Where I live is a great place to get a Christmas tree! North Carolina sends Christmas tree to White House, and will provide 2024’s tree, too
Great idea

I think so, too. I went to the mountain area of NC to get our tree.

Nammu, those ornaments are beautiful!

We've also had food at our past parties. I'll bring a big ham and a bunch of biscuits and my wonderful deviled eggs. What else can we have?

Hazel is excited to come to the gathering. She is sure everyone wants to be her friend.

Except for Miette the kitties are going to stay home. They don't care for adventures. On the other hand, Miette is always ready for and adventure.

I have this really good spread I make that I'll bring. The base is cream cheese and sugar. The top is fresh cranberries chopped with just a bit of jalapeńo pepper.

Sir would love to have friends but wants them not to be too enthusiastic around him. Hazel will have to settle for a Pat on the nose but Miette can share the treats.

Need to bring out the bones for the dogs.

Oh Sir doesn’t mind dogs at all. It’s the jumping and frisky ness he has issues with. Oddly though I’ve never had a dog with him he was fine with all the dogs he met. He’s just old and prefers sedat friends now. Those that will just come over and touch noses. It’s the humans he has the issues with.

I'll bring some pet treats. Pupperoni for the pooches. Raven loves them. And my cat, Caroline, is addicted to Temptations cat treats. Dare she share them with other kitties? She likes the seafood versions, but I can bring some chicken ones. But other kitties could become addicted, too, if we don't watch out.

Abbycat is sensitive to wheat so she can't eat temptations. She'll bring plenty of her hoity-toity treats to share though. And I realized that a year ago she kept throwing her favorite toys (fluffy balls) into her kitty litter. I kept throwing them away so I ordered a bag of 100. She of course then stopped. So we'll have shiny fluff balls for all the kitties.

lol Sir is also addicted to temptations. He doesn’t eat as many as he once did and will gladly share his.

Christmas Gathering Place!

Of course we will offer massages to all the animals to keep them relaxed

Oh, dear, I've forgotten the Christmas tree lights! I have enough lights of lots of colors to cover the big tree. I'll see to putting them on immediately, unless anyone has any objections.

Nammu, could you get some lights for the pine tree? (We'll pay you back. )

Can we have that stringy tinsel from the 70s and 80s? (I have no idea if that is still a thing but when I was a kid we covered our tree in it).

Yeah, I think you’ll have to raid attics to find that. I remember starting out so patiently stringing it on one strand at a time, then getting impatient and throwing it on in clumps. Then later when the tree was outside waiting to be taken to the dump the birds would come by to fetch the tinsel for nesting material.

Sometimes we kids would pile snow up in a hill and put the tree upright on top and try to burrow out a cave underneath.

According to Google it was called lametta and it fell out of favor because it harmed pets and very young children, who tended to eat it.

As expected Walmart doesn't sell the stringy things anymore. I just had to check . So we'll need some holiday magic to get that on the tree.
