Anybody interested in using this thread as a gathering place for us on Christmas Day? I think that could help with loneliness. We've met on Christmas Day in the past. We bring food, talk about presents, and maybe even bring some, talk about how our meeting place is decorated, and so on. I'll bring a big Christmas tree. And let's bring ornaments that we can decribe.

Where I live is a great place to get a Christmas tree! North Carolina sends Christmas tree to White House, and will provide 2024’s tree, too

Just placing my place setter here so I remember to come back in December. I’ve no tree this year so I’m looking forward to decorating the tree.

The Christmas lights in our town are switched on, and they've all ready got people booking for the Christmas show (Peter pan I think)

I've got some decorations up but not all. Listening to Christmas music now, have done though for weeks

I'll be alone, but I'm sure it will be nice- especially if I get to watch a good Christmas movie or two (sure I will!)

I got some glass blown icicles. Got enough to cover about a fourth of the tree. Who else has something?

When I was 3 my uncle gave me a beautiful sparkling satin rocking horse. He's been on every tree I've had since, first always as a child and then later when I've done a tree (I don't always). He'll jump into the festivities this year.

My sister collects "The 12 Days of Christmas" ornaments, and she has too many now for her tree. SO, we got the spare ones! A bunch of patridges in pear trees, turtledoves, French hens, calling birds, golden rings, ... drumming .drummers, piping pipers, leaping lords, dancing ladies, and three other kinds? What are they? I can't remember!

How about bringing pets to the gathering, too? Since our imagination is involved, we can assume they will all get along and not cause problems....

Oh, Sir likes that idea. He doesn’t like being left home alone anymore. But he’ll take a shelve on the wall from where he can hear and smell the going ons. A dish of catnip treats and liver flavored water would do him fine.

Abbycat would love to come. She requires to be within sight of a scratching post at all times so we'll provide those. She prefers a nice soft cozy place like a bed or recliner to hang out. She also likes to have plenty of treats handy.

Sir would be happy to share his catnip treats for a scratch or two on the posts to Alleviate his stress. He’s laid back but having lost his sight he’s a bit nervous about being trod on. Hence the shelf. Other animals he trusts but he’s very aware us humans are clumsy.
