I made a 400 mile round trip to a town along the Ohio River where I got to experience the eclipse 100%. In 2017 our town was in partial so I promised myself I woukd experience full eclipse this time. The people were spread out throughout the little town so it wasn't crowded. Some people had telescopes attached to their cameras. Some just watched & did their best with phone cameras like I did.

It was so cool when it went to total cause everyone was cheering. Watching the progression & the dimming of the light was cool but the effect of the darkness that the total creates was beyond amazing. I was maybe 40 miles into the total zone & during the total 3 minutes you could see a light glow of the area that was not in total.

Best experience ever & so glad I went. Google map was not working so I had to wing it & go back to map reading & following highway signs. It was mostly cloudy on the trip there but it started breaking up just as the eclipse started & was pretty clear that whole time. What an awesome treat Monday was

I saw partial and it was very impressive. Didn’t make it to a total one. It wasn’t far from me but couldn’t do it due to work. I am glad you got to see it.

Here in Oregon it was cloudy and the sky didn’t even get dark but the sun was only covered about 22%

Glad you got to experience it. Here was supposed to be 80% but it was cloudy and rainy so nothing. I followed it on cnn but it’s not the same.

We had it at over 99% coverage. I think only 0.99 of Sun was visible. We are very close to Ohio path in South East MI. It got dusky as it was moving, automatics street lights turned on and temperature dropped rapidly. Don’t pretend its the same as total but it was very close.

I drove under clouds all morning to get there & thought it might be a fizzle. Was so surprised when the clouds started breaking up just as the eclipse started. I had seen photos of the total in 2017 & wanted to see it in person since it was so close. A once in a lifetime experience at my age & totsl was closer than in 2017. I got some amazing photos even with just my phone camera

99% is very impressive too. It was interesting seeing streetlights come on. I took a photo in the dusky time & in the total there was a slight glow from over toward the area that was next to it but not total. Lol....I just barely got into the total path area on the eastern edge but it provided the experience.

I saw 90% totality and it was an amazing experience. On my way home from work I pulled into a church parking lot around 2:50 p.m. and watched it until it was past peak (3:14 p.m.).

On the radio Blue Oyster Cult's Burnin' For You came on the radio while it was near its peak. I'm not really sure why but it just seemed so fitting at the time.

My house started to get dark so I took my glasses and went outside. I was out there alone in the parking lot, where it went about 90% totality and the birds stopped chirping and the winds picked up. Being all alone out there witnessing it just me and the eclipse, was a profound experience.

It was a truly profound experience. There were small individual groups of people along the river bank. I made the trip alone but it was so cool the spontanious cheers from everyone around when it hit total. We were all watching so intently. Definitely one of the highlight experiences of my life

I'm so glad it was such a memorable one for you. I will be honest and say it triggered a little bit of mania in me that lasted throughout the day, that's how powerful it was. It was truly a moment in time that goes down in the history books for sure.

After tge eclipse I drove around the town a bit to see it & the historical area. Then I found a coffee place that was mostly organic, sat & spent some time unwinding & talking to some people around me. My drive home was really laid back as I took back country roads home instead of the highways just to see a part of the state I had never seen before & the spring trees in bloom. I didn't get home till almost 9pm. I must have been a little hyper cause I texted a friend at almost 11pm (I never text after 10). I have to say we have had a rainy week & i have been totally useless getting anything done. Driving tgat much in one day was exhausting. Guess I am trying to regain some energy. Been sleeping a lot

It was a total eclipse here and it was amazing. I guess I should have expected it, but I was surprised how dark it got all of a sudden. Definitely a high light for me.

I was surprised though I had seen videos of the total from 2017.....but nothing like the personal experience ourselves. Glad you got to enjoy the "total" experience.....it was awesome
