A few days ago a cop walked by my window and then an hour ago another one did. He looked in quickly while walking past my house and seemed to frown at something. Maybe my choice of news. Then he left. I was looking at a food package to add to my weight loss app.
Why does this keep happening? Is the neighbor calling them? She once called them because she thought someone was stealing her rocks. I do nothing wrong. I don't do much of anything really. Yet I feel like they are out to get me.

If you live in a safe neighborhood or a place most crime is easily hidden by law enforcement or not reported, they might have nothing better to do than "investigate" crimes of the missing rocks at the top of their priorities. AKA making work that doesn't exist to justify their paychexk.

Yeah I live in a safe neighborhood. I once called it white trash and my mom got mad at me.

Hey Mountaindewed. My feeling is that if the police suspected you of something, one of the first things they'd do is knock on your door and ask a few questions, to see how you answer the questions, to see if you're lying perhaps. I can't really say much more beyond that.

If they suspect you up to something, they’d not just walk around looking in your windows. They might be just patrolling streets. Do you live right by the road? Or he had to make an effort to come to your house?

I'm just trying to visualize what happened. When the cop looked in your window, did he leave the sidewalk, enter your lawn and was within a few inches from your window? Was he doing this from the sidewalk? How many feet/yards are we talking? Was he on a foot patrol or did he park his cruiser to walk by your house?

He was by the side of my house between mine and my neighbors then he walked around to her backyard and left that way. He was within a few few feet from my window but closer to her house. I didn't look for his patrol car.

If he was literally on your property, ask him what he was doing. You have the right to know. This sounds creepy.

Is your neighbor out of town? Could be she asked for extra patrols around her house while she is gone.

Does it look like the same cop? I've got a theory if it is...not an actual cop, just knows chicks like a guy in uniform and the chances of getting lucky are worth the chances of impersonating a police offer are worth it.

Today on my way back from my test I saw 2 cop cars on the end of my block and a dude in handcuffs and a bike on the ground. Then after I got coffee I saw the guy riding his bike and the cop cars going the opposite direction.
Not sure what that was all about.

There's a way you can listen to some US police and fire radio chatter without buying a scanner. Navigate to the Radio Reference website and select your state and county.
If you're lucky, some scanner operator will be uploading the stream of your police department's communications system. Then you can find out what's going on. One day I heard the 911 dispatcher for our town announce that an elderly woman in rehab called 911 in order to get her daughter to bring her ice cream. Another time a police car was driving slowly and shining the search light into people's backyards. I tuned in to discover...

Some times the police will handcuff someone while they talk to the person. I've seen body cam videos on YouTube when they pull someone over, usually for DUI.

The DUI was not a good example.
Again, these are from body cams. I've seen cops put someone in handcuffs when trying to sort out a volatile situation. Things like neighbors who got in a screaming match and one is getting physical. Have seen "Karen" situations where Karen is placed in cuffs to protect others. I don't believe it is common, but does happen. |

These cops could just be racist too to be honest.

Ha, definitely sounds like a "Karen got pissed because her Starbucks order was wrong and the person behind her told her to calm down and that just escalated her pissed-ness and now she's making a scene" situation.

So there was a bunch of hoopla next door today and the neighbor lady went to the side of the house where the cop was the other day, and her daughter followed her and I heard the neighbor mention that "they had been there twice" and the daughter was all like "I know" in a calming voice before they went back inside. But no cop showed up this time.
So idk. Maybe she just hallucinates.
