I don't really know one way or the other. I guess 35 years and it being self defense is enough time

I don’t think it was self defense. It sounded as they were abused though, but I don’t know if there was enough evidence.

Plus you shoot once twice in self defense to immobilize your assailant. It’s not what happened. And if you kill in self defense, you call 911, don’t go on shopping spree

They were asking people to lie for them that they were abused and that’s very suspect.

So who knows. 35 years is a long time. But I don’t know, maybe they are a danger to society if they come out

Yup, I'll leave it up to your parole boards or what have you, to weigh everything up with a very stern eye...

Those two are right where they need to be.

These guys committed a double murder. One does not know what to think. Leave it to the parole board is my take on this.

Not retrial but maybe resentencing.

I just read that the LA District Attorney is considering recommending resentencing. It will be a judge who makes the final decision.

Prosecutor Expected to Seek Resentencing of Menendez Brothers - The New York Times

The district attorney, George Gascón, has scheduled a news conference on Thursday afternoon to announce his decision.
During their trial, which was televised, the brothers said they had been sexually molested by their father and had feared for their lives. At the time, their claims were met with widespread skepticism, but now they are seen by Mr. Gascón as credible enough to warrant reconsideration by the court.

The move by the office that originally prosecuted the case to seek a resentencing could pave the way for the brothers, who are currently serving sentences of life without parole in a prison near San Diego, to walk free.

While the district attorney’s recommendation will carry weight, it is ultimately up to a judge to decide the brothers’ future.
