I made it a goal to get back to trying to socialize by getting out of the house again after going thru this bout of depression . Well in doing that.. I decided to go back to Quilting Club for the first time in over a year. I contacted my friend and she gave me meeting times again. We are cutting out material tonight for another mystry quilt. Meaning .. we dont know what the pattern is . The leaders of the group picked it out.. but we had to go pick out the material. I had some in my stash and a big piece that_Hope_ sent me with ladybugs on it.So it didnt cost as much to do this quilt. Then on April 5th we are doing an all day quilt session 9-5pm and make this quilt. I guess its supposed to be a lap quilt. I cant wait to show ya when I am done with it!! Should be pretty I think. Kinda whimsical in a way too. The last mystry quilt I made was the one I made for my dog. And it turned out really neat I think.

Well wish me luck cutting it! I'm gonna need it lol!! Eeeeeeeeks!

see I just knew you and your quilting would bring the sunshine back, if your group wants to put them on eBay you all could make some money

Aww gosh Kath.. Believe me I do struggle with this.. and its been hard focusing on going tonight. But they are so much fun to be around and I have missed them alot. I wish I was better at this stuff. But hopefully I will get used to it again and be able to finish up all the projects I got upstairs !! LOL. I mean there are alot of them!

I hope that one day you can see that you can do this. And I do understand the grocery thing too.. Thats one reason I have hubby go with me most of the time. But he's been working OT lately and I cant expect him to do that.

Maybe just finding out some things you might like to do and figure out if there is a club to join with a friend ? It might help ya to feel more comfy? It would be worth a shot I think.

Way to go- sounds fun too. I wish I knew how to quilt. I've got some lovely old quilts my grandma made and they're lovely to look at.

Thanks everyone!! I am trying to get my house cleaned up and I am hoping to make the Gingersnap Pear Tart (that Echoe's put the recipe to in the Recipe Forum) for tonight. I have a couple ladies from the quilt group coming over around 6:30 to do some sewing. Should be alot of fun!! The only problem is that the CMA's are on tonight too!! And I gotta be able to watch Kenny sing and hopefully get quite a few awards too!! LOL
