Black Stallion
On a black stallion he came out of the sea And on that black stallion came to rescue me And as the moon floated accross the sky I watched him turn back the tide riding so high Every girl needs her hero Every girl needs her hero From a black chariot he beckoned to me He promise freedom and liberty And as I walked he parted the sea And he did it for me Every gir needs her hero Every girl needs her hero |

I was just thinking how songs like this put false ideas into our heads. I mean if you think about it, it gives the message that we need saved...or that we need a man...which I totally disagree with.
We are our own hero...and we don't need anyone but ourselves, right? I mean it's like that whole idea that we need someone else to complete us and we really don't.... I remember the most wonderful woman I have ever met. She was strong and a wonderful self-esteem and sense of confidence. She was an old T of mine...she wasn't married, all her children had grown, and she was happy living her life that way. That's something I would love to do...just myself...being happy with myself. Ok...I've rambled on enough. My point is that we don't need someone else to save us. |

Yes Tgoth Co-Dependency isn't always the way to goo, it has its ups and downs.
My T is single, Independent, and all of her children are grown too. Funny you should mention this. Although I do believe in relationships to. But the only one that can rescue you is yourself...

I suppose I am oldfashioned and like the idea of a happy ever after with someone.
You made me think though, and I believe that ultimately we are responsible for our own fate x |
