My Tyger has my soooooooooo frustrated. He has torn up another screen. When he is outside and wants to come in he scratches on the screen and I let him in. If I ignore him he scratches even harder and tears the screen. Well I have replaced one screen and now have to replace this one now. Do you have any suggestions on how to get him to stop this behavior? I have yelled STOP that Tyger and he looks at me like what? I can't keep replacing the screens they are about $15.

Do you have a squirt bottle you could fill with water and spray Tyger whenever he scratches at the screen? If he doesn't like being sprayed he will stop scratching at the screen because he will relate that to getting sprayed Tyger has my sooooooooo frustrated That's the only thing I can think of. Good luck (((( jbug ))))

I can't afford to have him declawed. He did get his first dose of the spray today though and oh that look he gave me if looks could kill I'd be dead. He stopped scratching though and got down and came in. He got spanked also when he came in. He's outside now so we will see what happens when he wants to come in tonight.

Well this morning he did it again but before I could spray him he got down. So he got spanked when he got inside and in a stern voice BAD BOY! He ran into the laundry room and hid until later in the morning he knew he was in trouble. The reason I couldn't get to him fast enough was the window was closed. I am going to get a couple of those twirly things to put in front of the window so he can't get up into it to scratch. Hope that works if not I'm at a loss.
The spray tactic works if I have the window open to let the breeze in but if I have the window closed it doesn't work.

Well the screen had to come off the window tonight. I had let him in and the little stink wad made the hole big enough so he could go out the hole. So I just said fine and shut the window and went outside and took the screen off until I can get it fixed. Oh well its getting to be where its to warm to have the window open anyway. I caught him clawing on the screen this morning and before I went to bed last night I shut the window so couldn't get to the spray fast enough to spray him before he got down so he got a spank when he got in the house and a BAD KITTY he knew he was in trouble because he looked all sad and ran into the laundry room and hid.
