Well I'm safely home from my holiday abroad in the UK. Can I just say that I had the most amazing time this month??? I hope to get some photo's posted by this weekend for anyone who like to see. I have about 1500 of them to go through and pick out the best of the best! I'll let ya'll know when I've posted them.

The faces I saw and the hugs I received were just wonderful! Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! From Tishie and Alevin in Scotland to Katheryn, TRM and Pegasus down in Cornwall.....THANK YOU for taking the precious time out of your lives to meet up with little ole me!!!

What a wonderful time I had meeting you folks.....Words fail to say what I feel in my heart. I will never forget our meetings....each and every one of you is emblazoned on my heart and in my mind. You are all beautiful, loving and caring individuals and I feel so blessed to have you in my life! Thank you for your gracious hospitality and lovely laughs!

As they say in the UK, I'm "knackered" Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! My friend who traveled with me does not drive, so I had the pleasure of doing it all Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! I haven't gotten into my own car and drove here at home yet and I'm a bit concerned that I'll try traveling on the wrong side of the road Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! or worse, I'll drive into a roundabout going the opposite way Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received!

We put on about 2300 miles in 3 weeks. We started from Bolton UK (near Manchester), drove up the western side of Scotland and visited the Isle of Skye, headed over to Loch Ness, up through Inverness and to Thurso and John O'Grats where we had our picture taken at the roadsign with our towns and the mileage listed as to how far away we came from. We headed back down from there and over to the eastern side of Scotland and visited Aberdeen, then to Dundee, Alyth, Blairgowrie and Eassie (Eassie is my grandmother's maiden name). Then off to Glamis Castle, Stirling Castle and The William Wallace (Braveheart) Monument. 246 steps to the top of the monument and I did every single one...phewwwwwww.....I have no idea how I did it but it sure hurt LOL. From there we went to Edinburgh and made our way back to Bolton to do laundry Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! and rest up for a day or two.

After our short break we headed down to Cornwall. While Cornwall may be small in size, there is much to do and see there. And it's beautiful! We found our way to Lands End and had another photo taken with the sign again to show we'd been to the top of the mainland of the UK at John O'Grats and to the bottom of the mainland at Lands End! We stayed 3 night in Polperro which is a beautiful and peaceful little hamlet harbor town steeped in rich tradition for it's fishing and pirates!

While it's always good to get away to visit my friend and her family...they are my adopted family and I love each one of them with all my heart, I have to admit it felt dang good to sleep in my own bed last night! hehehe I will miss my adopted family so very much. They treated my like royalty, gave me a Happy Independence Day party including a great decorated cake and my fav meal of Lamb! (sorry muffy LOL) then, they gave me a going away party too.....and made me cry with their gifts and their love.

I am just so very blessed!!!!!!!!!!

Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received! Oh the faces I saw & warm hugs received!

That sounds marvy. Eventually I'm going over to London, we had to put it off this year because of the stock market not treating our money well (bad stock market!) but we will be getting an influx of Social Security as DH turns 65 this month.

You mean they don't bite over there?
