With a little Pomeranian. Our local Petland store is going out of business. And they have their dogs at least half off if not a little more. I saw this lil thing and fell in love. She reminds me so much of my Heidi Sue when she was a puppy. Very affectionate, but loves to play. And by the time I had left she had her little paws wrapped around my arm saying dont go. How do I convince my husband this is what we need? I love my Heidi, but her hearing is getting worse all the time. She isnt able to be the good watch dog she was. I dont expect my dogs to protect me, just alert me . I've made a call to my vet asking them if the puppys breed is a good match for Heidi. I dont want Heidi to feel she has lost a place in our hearts. But I thought that having a puppy might help her feel younger too. She was allover me sniffing lol. And just wagging her tail all the time. I asked her if she wanted a little sister and she kept wagging her tail lol. I take that to be a yes lol. I am thinking of down the road too when Heidi is no longer able to be with us ( she is 13 now)and I just want the transition to be easier. I thought maybe this would help.

I just dont know that I can convince my husband of this or should I? And taking on the cost of a new puppy and having her spayed and all that. Any suggestions? She will have all the love and attention she needs no problem.

Thanks
Beth

Animals give us that unconditional love that no human can. I'm glad you have a new friend.

I asked about that Bebop, and they said they only needed it twice a week. I think its collies and shelties that need it more. And this lil girl looks like she may have a silkier coat to her. She is a smokie color, just adorable. I took pics on my phone but it wont let me upload to the computer I am in Love... I want to show you guys!! LOL

Sweet, I have observed firsthand what a young pup can do for an older dog. Your older dog may actually be revived by the new pup!
Let us know how it works out!

I love little poms. did they happen to say how big this one will get hon? I love the little tiny tiny ones myself. I would groom one more than 2 times a week though. you need a good brush to get that thick undercoat really really good. but they are sooooooo pretty! I am getting out of the doggie biz lol. I am just not able to keep up with them anymore. good luck hon. I think you should get a new fur baby!

She is about 3 lbs now and they said no more than 7 lbs because she is like the runt. Heidi was a runt too. But has done soooo well. This is sooo exciting!! I just hope Heidi and Chesney get along ok.

Poor Heidi. I hope the vet finds a cure soon. We have 3 dogs and 7 cats and my experience is when one of the pets once diagnosed correctly the cure follows soon enough. My prayers are for Heidi.
