A friend of mine was telling me about this book by Max Lucado. She got it for her infant son and read me the book..when she read me the book I had to fight back the tears because I could relate to the book..yes as an adult I could relate to a children's book. It is called You are special. I highly recommend it. Even if you don't have small children..if you have little's in your life I'd get it. Hey even if you don't have little's and want to stroke your inner child.

The basis for the book is there is this land where there are these creature that if you don't live up to the "pretty people's" standard's they give you a dot. Well there is this one person that has a lot of dot's and he is unhappy until he meets this one person that keeps getting dots but her dot's keep falling off. He asks her why her dots fall off and she tells him to go meet someone and he goes off to meet this person and he meets this person and this person tells him that if he believes what this person believes about him matters that the fact he gets dots won't matter either and the dots will fall off. When the little creature starts to believe in the man one of his dots falls off.

Now you see why I started to tear up. It is a Christian book as Max Lucado writes Christian books but if you don't believe in that you could put your own spin on it I believe.

I brought my book to therapy today and showed my T. She knew about it and told me there was a video. I am going to get the DVD of it for a friend's little boy for Christmas. He has the chunky book because he's only 15 months old. I think he will like it or at least his mom will LOL.
