Look awfully young!
I saw a report on the news that Chinese children with gymnastic potential are placed in schools at age 7 where they only see their parents once or twice a year. Sad.
I seem to have also heard that rigorous gymnastic training from such an early age can stunt one's growth, but they really do look awfully young!

I've seen mentioned in articles that the smallest and probably youngest one is either 14, 15, or 16, BUT she looks about the size and height of my eldest who is almost 11, PLUS he just lost his tooth- 3rd from the middle on the left upper.Whatever that's called in Dentist :lol - and she has the same one missing!

The americans don't look as young, to me. They have breasts at least! More mature faces, more mature voices! Yes, they're very muscular and thin, but they're professional athletes. They are much more developed than in 1996: The Americans were shorter, lighter, and had very high voices. Do a search for the Olympics girls team from then - there is an interview of one of them- listen to how immature her voice is! Its like she has never been allowed to go through normal puberty.
