I am getting to the bee part ....lead up to I was already tired part. LOLOLOLOL

Yesterday was such a long day... Followed behind my daughter taking her stuff as she went to college. Its only 30 minutes away.
But she has to have a room there incase of the massive snow storms they get. So she spends half her time here. Half her time there.
The good news is they played really good music from the breakfast club while unloading
Any ways then took son to Drs.
Then the rest of the day.........

Went to bed pretty early as I was really tired.
Then around 1am 2 bees are in my room. Why do they not sleep at night? And why were they in my room?
I am alergic to bees.....
This is the second time in a few weeks. My cousins son got the last one.
Being not really awake I decided I could take care of them. Well nope they got me.....lololol

So i go running for the benadryl.....and epipen....and ice...
darn bees are still following me. They were going after the kitchen light.
Finally i got them to go outside by turning on outside light and turning off kitchen light....
Then I sat and waited to make sure i was ok....
And thought it was along day...................
Muffy

P.S. why do bees not sleep at night?

Bees whats up with them????

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

- William Blake (Auguries of Innocence)

'Stop the Bug Zappers!

As I suggested, above, there's almost no reason to indiscriminately kill insects outside your home. These first four photographs were taken at a house in my neighborhood on March 26, 2006. In Colorado, where I live, winter can easily linger well into May so there's no real reason to be killing insects all year long because there aren't many out and about until late spring. Nevertheless, it's obvious from these photos that these people intend to kill bees every chance they get (in #4 you can still see clumps of snow on the ground at the house across the street) regardless whether anybody is even home or not!. Even more amazing is that this same house appears to have a bee trap in its backyard - just 15 feet away from their garden that needs the pollination each year! '

glad you are safe (((muffy))))

insects and such

Awwwwwwww ((((( muffy ))))) that really stinks! I'm glad you are ok. Are the bees in the house rafters??? are they in the siding??? If it's getting colder outside, and it's warmer inside they will try to come in through the siding and the windows.....must be careful. Buy lots of raid, put on leather jacket and pants...leather gloves and a netting over your head and face....now you are ready for attack! Bees whats up with them????

Please be careful hon....not a fun position to be in.

Bees whats up with them????

What kind of bees were they? I am okay with wasps and honey bees but hate yellow jackets and hornets. I would rather have snakes in my house than yellow jackets and hornets. They have bad temperaments. Bees whats up with them????

Glad you are okay. Bees whats up with them????

Muffy - my son has the same relationship with hornets. He's not allergic thank God, because no matter where he is, a hornet will find him.

He's 15 years old and over 6 feet tall and a hornet will still make him run screaming. He had a very bad experience when he was around 6. He was playing outside at a friends house and stumbled upon the nest in a tree stump.

tell daughter to still be careful, you are allergic and it doesn't always show on first sting. if she were to get stung again she should watch for reaction. you should have woken someone, even with epipen you could still have had dangerous reaction.

you need to find out where they are coming from. they could be nesting in your wall or something. it could be a bad thing. did you refil your epipen today? sorry i am freaking a little, have almost died from anaphalactic shock. i am allergic too. but i did make some valid points.

Muffy, They must be in your walls or attic somewhere! You must find out since they could continue to invade your space. I've seen programs where specialists have to come in and remove a whole nest!
I'm not even allergic, but if there were even one in my bedroom, I'd freak out, and sleep with my head covered, or move to another room!

Acually you said all the right things
I should have woke someone
That was really not smart of me as I would advise anyone else to do that.
Bees when your allergic forsure its not a joke at all
I was scared. I waited a hour to make sure i was ok.
But your right ...had I not been ok ...no one would have known.......
I never should have made it seem not serious......
As it is. I just have a hard time asking for help.
Which is wrong.
Yes I have a new pen.
They are more than likely coming from the chimmney.
My daughter knows to be careful too.....
I am sorry if I freaked you
Thank you for worrying
You are right its a serious thing
