Well we have been here in our new digs for a bit now and I wanted to take few moments to share an observation or two..
Some might be interested,,others may find them trivial...so be it.. I have been involved in many types of moves and/or migrations in my life and calamity generally follows of one sort or another...I hate moving my stuff no matter the reason,,,and moving other people's stuff,,well,,let's just say manure shoveling is higher on the list....  Often the calamity is prolonged and painfull with participants threatening, blackmailing or running off... We are creatures that thrive upon familiarity and the closeness of what we know..Change is unfamiliar, intimidating and threatening...We often love and protect what we have even when it is not the best for us... But that did not happen here with this move... I have witnessed a community that accepted a rather momumental change and beyond that,,,the community contributed to problem identification and resolution...I really can't find any stubborn complaints nor resistence... This community made this move work. Doc John and his team put the machine in motion and selflessly spent time and resources in the mechanics of it all,,,but it was this membership that made it go as well as it did and eventually allowed this IP address to become more than just a set of numbers separated by dots,,,but a restpit to many an ailing heart,,a refuge where pain can be shared and understood, where one voice is as important as any other and tears are as welcome as laughter...a HOME..our Home. I am proud to call all of you family...well done. Lenny

Lenny,
You are such a sweet and kind man with many a wise word. I couldn't have said it better myself! I, too, am very happy to be part of this family. I appreciate DocJohn and everyone else for keeping us all together, safe and sound. I was very very worried about the move and scared that I would get lost in the shuffle. The move couldn't have been smoother.  BJ |

I also appreciate Lenny's insights and wisdom.
I have, however, found a few glitches in the new system, that I have not been able to correct. I went thru several attempts at trying to edit posts I had made, and finally gave up. Also, my one attempt at posting a video in the Videos thread failed. It's probably just my inablilty to adjust! Patty |
