Sorry - indulge me, please -- my baseball team has just made the playoffs for the first time in 26 years. Some of the current players weren't even BORN the last time this happened.

As recently as 6 years ago, the team lost 106 of 162 games. It has been a loooooong time since there has been decent baseball in Milwaukee, and I have sat through a LOT of really crappy games. This is so exciting!!! (Santa came early this year for Brewers fans )

(((((((((((( candybear ))))))))))) I am glad that your team got into the playoffs, that is so exciting when it hasn't happened for such a long time, hopefully they go far in the playoffs.

Since the Brewers are in does this mean the Cubbies are out?

No, the Cubbies won the division and the Brewers won the wildcard. So they're both in. Brewers are playing the Phillies and Cubs play the Dodgers, I think, in the first round.

1982...Cardinals defeat Brewers in World Series!....back when the Brewers were American League

I don't care who wins this year....as long as the Cubs get beat..........

I feel so much of your joy! My daughter and I actually cried when the Tigers made it in in '06 and then when Maggs hit the homer to put them in the series we bawled with joy!!! Enjoy it!!!

Well, they played like crap yesterday and it's only a 5-game series, so they'd better pick it up quick-like -- but at least the Cubbies lost too. (sorry jbug)

Although I'm still bitter the Blue Jays couldn't make the playoffs, congrats on your team of choice making it

There's no place like home ... there's no place like home ... there's no place like home ... Go Crew!

One thing I do have to say: I now hate Frank Caliendo, after seeing his ENDLESS commercials on TBS. Frank is from Milwaukee (well, a burb) and I used to be proud of that and find him funny, but that's when I didn't see him 642 times a day.
