I hate to shop, don't go to malls. My best friend, Becky, is a really savvy shopper, who finds the best deals and goes to the after-holiday sales. Today I accompanied her to the Town Center Mall, where I haven't visited in at least three years, LOL. We only went to one store, Macys, and before entering she gave me a coupon for extra 20% off, and which could be re-used all day. I did make some purchases of things marked down 50-60%, then the extra 20% off. Kind of fun! But the real education was watching Becky buy things marked down 75%, then using an additional coupon for one-time $10 off each item. She got one item for $0!!!

I heard one news report that such stores are trying to rid themselves of unsold inventory, even if it means a loss. Sad, in that respect.

No, I still don't enjoy shopping, but it was quite an experience shopping with Becky.

Wow my kind of shopping trip.

I went to walmart today to see if I could get any deals and didnt find anything that just jumped right out at me. My mom got my bil's Santa for next year. He collects Old World Santa's and she get him one every year and she found him a really neat one for $5. I got me a pair of pants for $9 and my fleece for my snuggie. I spent my gift certificate I got when I returned the fleece pullover I had received from my aunt and uncle.

I wish I could have found something else but nothing really jumped out at me.

My local scrapbook store is marking stuff down 75% off tomorrow so I will go there with my other moneyI got.

Hi, Jbug!
Yes, though I don't like shopping, I DO like to go to the craft stores. I went to ACMoore to look at yarn and there was nothing on sale....sigh!
So, did you get one of those "snuggies"...? I think I would like one too!

((((((((((((( seeker ))))))))))))))) It does sound like an interesting experience, I love to see other peoples shopping habits because everybody seems to have different strategies and goals during a shopping trip. Oddly I don't really enjoy shopping however I love finding bargains which requires going shopping, when I find a good bargain I feel like holding the item up and yelling I am the queen of shopping, I know that sounds weird but bargains excite me.

Rainbowzz! I'm no good at shopping either. Money seems to vaporize in my purse! One of the things that dismays me about going to big malls, etc., is being bombarded by all the commercialism.
Love,
Patty
