To finally start a diet and exercise program to help me get down to a healthy weight. My dad died at 68 from a heart attack so I have risk factors. I figure it's also about time I start taking care of my physical health the way that I've spent the last couple of years focussing on my mental health.

A girlfriend and I are both going to start the South Beach Diet early in the new year and be motivation for each other. We both want to want to lose a similar amount of wieght so it should be good to have support.

I also have given myself a harp goal. i do much better with goals. I want to have an hours worth of music up to performance standard so that I can play at next year's AA Christmas day drop in. This will give me real motivation to get over my emotional hang ups about playing and give me motivation to practice.

1. To be happy. I want that more than anything.
2. To start eating 1600 calories a day. I know it's a long-shot, since I don't even eat half that much... but I can try.
3. To start cleaning my house more.
4. To quit smoking.
5. To finish college without dropping out like I want to. I want to just lay in bed under the covers all day.
6. To get past all of my emotional issues to the point where I can recognize who I am anymore.

Good luck to everyone with their resolutions.

1. To quit smoking
2. To finish the 2 books I got to work on. I got the book Your Best Life Now 7 steps to LIving at your Full Potential by Joel Osteen..I also have the Journal that goes with it and I also have Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer...I also have the workbook that goes with that. I plan on working through both of them this year to hopefully get control of my thought patterns and better myself.

1. To clean the cat litter boxes more frequently. (I'm very serious. I thought of this earlier today and decided it would be my New Year's resolution. My kitties deserve better.)

2. To spend more time reading about stuff I want to learn about (and therefore less time surfing the Internet).

I am setting my standards very low this year, my only resolution is to finish one book this coming year, I have gotten away from reading lately and it is a relaxing activity for me.

My resolution is to finally give up these blasted cigarettes. I have another but it's fairly personal...all I wish to say is that I have set a major goal in my life and I plan to achieve it by years end.

1. do not make any New Year's resolutions...they last about 3 days anyway

2. assume 2009 will be just like 2008....work,stress,no money, depression, therapy
endless hours surfing the internet, no exercise, lack of motivation, channel surfing
fighting with wife, raising 4 year old, business woes, drought, famine, world chaos

I don't really "do" resolutions...BUT,I do want to try to spend more time with my 6 year old. His 8 year old brother with autism has consumed so much of my time and attention for all 6 years of his life. My 8 y/o will just be who he is,and that's fine. 6 y/0 needs more of me.

1. To go back to university and study applied physics. I always wanted to study physics, but somehow ended up with a financial analysis diploma.
2. Realistic resolution: to wash dishes every day, lol

I do not make new years resolutions because I rarely stick with them. I just hope somehow the year can be better.

The same as the last two years.

1. umm.. to let go of old projects and do more downsizing
Thats a fancy way of saying my apartment is quite a cluttered shambles

2. To go out on a date . July 4th will be 12 years.
I got a hug Christams Eve said no to a kiss. so thats getting closer
but he didn't ask for my last name or phone number.

3. Figure out why # 2 is happening to

4. Start carrying buisness cards in my glove compartment so
I won't have these one night hugs happen ever again.

I am making three resolutions.

Study journal articles and books to get me current with changes in treatment and teach ACLS classes (cardiac arrest management) to nurses, paramedics and doctors

Maybe teach some paramedic or EMT classes.

Lose thirty pounds so that I will fit back in all the cute clothes I bought when I was a size smaller.
