I've posted here about my home improvement do-it-yourself projects. I am worn out with this, but my sunroom floor was damaged due to a water leak. Last week, the workman replaced the subfloor and I'm tackling another flooring project this weekend. Putting down self-stick tile. My workman purchased for me some adhesive primer to roll onto the plywood before laying the tile. I read the instructions and warnings on the adhesive gallon bottle, about harmful fumes, etc., and have just decided to lay the tile to the bare plywood. I hope it sticks! If the tile pops up, I guess I can use the adhesive where needed, but I'm taking the shortcut. I'm tired of these projects with my fixer-upper house! See pic attached of my progress.

Patty, when my family was little and I could still get down on my knees, I covered a floor with that sticky tile. That bedroom floor went through 12 years of two boys sleeping and playing on it with absolutely no problems! I didn't use anything other than the sticky on the tile.

The only flooring that I found for my kitchen that I liked happen to be that self-sticking tile. I put the adhesive down, and my kids used the rolling pin get out air bubbles to as I moved on. It's been down for 8 years without a problem. The added bonus is that if one gets damaged, it just takes a wet towel, steam iron, and a putty knife and you can replace it easy as pie.
