It was Mother's day in the UK yesterday. My family decided to take me out for a meal. So we went to this place where we know the food is pretty good. Well, we sat down at a table that had dishes on it that needed clearing from the previous people and waited to be served. Many times I tried to catch the waitresses eye and even put my hand up to get attention. Other people were getting served before us that had only just come in!
My hubby was quietly exploding inside, the children were starving. This was 50 minutes after we'd sat down! Hubby said that if he saw the waitress serve anyone else that he would just get up and leave. Well, the waitress served the people on the opposite table to us! So hubby upped and left. I went up to the waitress and gave her some 'feedback!' (I'll leave it to your imagination as to what exactly I said!) Anyway, it took a long time to calm everyone down and then I came up with an idea. We'd go to the supermarket, buy all the stuff we want and go and find somewhere nice to have a picnic. And that's what we did. We found the most beautiful spot by a river and had a wonderful picnic! It sure did beat sitting in a stuffy restaurant not getting served!

Ah yes, when there is something bad going on, life usually finds a way of evening it out. A few years ago, on Mothers day, I had been having a really hard time and was very low. We happened to go to one of my favourite spots looking out to the sea. That day I saw dolphins jumping out of the sea playing together. It was the most magical moment!

To be honest hubby wasn't 'quietly exploding inside' I thought he might eat the waitress at any minute!  So glad we left there!Great picnic, never seen a dog eat olives before! Yes it all turned out alright in the end.

Not knowing how many dogs-was she the dog eating olives?
We had a Golden Retriever that loved tangerine segments thrown to her as a treat! A friend doles out carrots as treats when she gets home from work! I'm glad you found a way to have a lovely day yesterday.

Yeah Rosie the border collie, she joined in with the whole thing. She's just been a bit naughty and very quietly helped herself to three donuts! The she came and said sorry for doing it!
