These are just ideas of what I would concider utopia...not really thought out well just racing thoughts...Anyway...
1. Manditory rules that only 50% of the population can leave there house during the day (the other 50% would alternate so everyoine has some day time). This to make sure when you go outside you will not be crowded by bunches of people. And traffic would be limited.
2. Manditory to learn a foreign langauge. This is to ensure that peoples IQ scores will not go down the toilet. And it's always a good thing to know aboiut different cultures that way there's no stereotyping bs going on.
3. The money you make is dirrectly preportional to the amount of effort you put in. No socialization, hand me outs, or high differences in classes due to "not being fair".
4. Every business is open 24 hours because it's so annoying when you have nothing to do at 4am.
5. etc....
I've lost my train of thought...peace
Thanks for this!

I don't know exactly how I would make these things work...but here are a few things I would like in my Utopia

1) All forms of violence (physical, emotional, verbal, psychological, sexual, spiritual) would be disciplined with anger/emotional management and could be punishable by banishment from society! (Meaning, we would take you to the edge of the Earth and drop you off...good luck!)

2) Medical/Mental health care for all!

3) You would need a license to breed and/or to become a parent and their would be mandated continuing education to maintain that license.

4) Housing would not be considered a privilege.

5) All transportation vehicles would either be solar/wind powered or required to use energy efficient/green fuels.

6) There would be one race...Human!!

7) People would take a more active role in their community.

8) Go from a five day work week to a four day work week.

9) Naps allowed and encouraged at work. (within moderation of course)

10) We would abolish the grade system in schools. No more 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade...children would be allowed to learn at their own pace and would be positively encouraged to move forward.

11) Parents would take more responsibility in educating their children and not relying just on the teachers. They would sit and assist their kids with their lessons/homework each day as needed.

12) Less busy work for homework and more "smartwork" that actually reinforces the learning process.

Okay...I could go on, but really...enough already!! LOL!!

I like number 2. I would have one language that is universally spoken so that all cultures would have the ability to share their culture with ANY one else, then a second language of their choice.

Cool, I wanted to wait to see if there was any interest in this before I went rambling on. For me, I am not a socialist but I definantly don't care for capitalism the way it is. I do however like parts of capitalism such as rewarding people willing to take risks to open a business or create a new product that can help the world. However, there would be limits. excessive greed is not acceptable. Many will probably find my utopia a little "scattered because I have elements of alot of different parts of society that don't usually mix. Some conservative, some libral, some secular, some religious, some forgiveness, some harsh punishments.

Human entitlements that every member of society is guarenteed.
1. health care
2. Healthy food supply
2. shelter
3. education
4. reliable transportation
Can you imagine how many useful things people could focus on if they didn't have to worry about paying for these basic necessities.?I don't believe it will make people lazy, quite the opposite. It will free people to take risks to chase their dreams of what they truely enjoy life. They would know if it doesn't work out, no matter how bad things get they will never lose these basic entitlements.

Legal enforcement.
1- I am pro death penalty which may surprise some here who know me. I do believe that there are horrible people that have no salvagiable traits to offer society & are too dangerous. However, keep in mind this is my utopia so getting a death penalty would require an immense amount of not only proof of their crime but that there is indeed nothing salvagable in that human being. So even though it would exist, it would be very rarely used.

2- I would legalize most drugs unless their is scientific proof that it will make people violent towards others. My reasoning is that if they want it they are going to get it anyway. We could tax it, & FDA regulate it. A person could not go to jail SOLEY for drug use. If they get behind a wheel of a car then they could do time but it's for driving under the influence not for the use of.

3- There would be digital video camera's on every street corner of the world. However, these camera's would not be run by the law enforcement agency but by an independent autonomous agency.

Economy:
Supply & demand would no longer be the highest factor of salary that could be earned. Sure it would be a factor, but not the main factor. So no more Atheletes making millions more than doctors & teachers simply because "that's what the market allows".

No one can earn more than a million dollars a year. That is more than enough for any human being to live comfortably.

Even though homes, food & transportation will have gaurentee you are free to upgrade with in reason. You would not have a right of keeping these upgrades if you did not honer the financial contract, but if you did lose these you would be entitled to return to basic necessaties & would not be dinged for taking a risk other than having to learn to live without the luxeries.

The food that is healthy for you would be the least expensive & the junk & fast food would be the more expensive instead of the other way around.

It is 100% illegal to turn a corperate profit off health care. there would be no tolerance for this.

There would be one universal currency & the exact same tax laws globally

Education:

1. There would be camera's in every class room & every office of a school. This protects both students & teachers. If a student is accused of wrong doing it can be visually varified. This could also protect a teacher who is falsely accused of wrong doing. It could also be used as a learning tool for teacher the way a coach reviews game film. The video just as the justice system would not be monitored by the schools or anyone paid for by the schools to ensure independence.

2. Instead of working for a specific school a teacher would work for a district & could be placed where ever the district feels they would do the best. If a teacher has a higher degree of success, then they will work in the least successful schools in the district. Instead spending millions bussing kids all over a city, make the teachers go where the kids are. This isn't an opinion I will be able to voice early on as a teacher though to the teachers union...atleast until I have tenure.

3. College: These supposedly "prestigeous" universities like Ivy league schools would no longer take the academically/economically "elite" but instead take the ones that on the lower end. If they are that special, prove it with the ones that aren't already a step ahead...professors should be good teachers as well.

4. Less time for summer vacation:

5. Stealing here a litte. I would do away with the "grade level" system. Clustering kids of different ages together has statistacally proven to be more effective. The older kids can help the younger ones.

Environmental:
1. All civilian vehicles would be electric or electric/fuel hybred. Obviously there will be work vehicles, heavy trucks & such that are on the high way this won't work for yet.

2. All homes would be solar powered.

Labor

1. 4 day work weeks, 32 hours full time. one month vacation a year regardless of profession.

2. Every child would be micro chipped, just like we can do our pets. This would help so much with abduction issues. They can chose to get it removed when they are 18 if they chose.

Everyone must say one thing nice about me a day because it makes me feel all ****sparkely**** inside
Thanks for this!

Interesting responses, some I agree with, some I do not. So I will take my shot at it.

1. Ensure that everyone on earth is ruled by a government they elect.
Since in accordance to the Founders only a government choosen by the governed has moral legitimacy (Declaration of Independence)

2. Ensure that all people on Earth have the following rights regardless of Race, Gender, preference, culture, religion etc.
The Right to Free Speech, The right to a free press, the right to choose the manner and form of religion they want or to not be religious at all without fear of persecution, The right to acquire private property, the right to start a business, The right to fair trial if accused of a crime. The right to self protection, The right for two consenting adults to form a lifelong partnership and to be recognized as such, and the right to a quality education.

3. Reimpose the Glass-Stegall act to prevent further economic messes, like the one we are in. Create a stronger means of combatting fraud, and stiff penalties for those who swindle others.

4. Eliminate the current employer based insurance system and replace it with a direct voucher system, based on a sliding scale of income with a cap of 500K net worth and then let everyone shop their own health care with the funds. This would bring about both universal health coverage and lower costs at the same time.

5. Require schools at all levels to teach business courses and make completing them a requirement for graduating school. In addition to end of grade academic tests I would also require the successful completion of a "Life Skills" test as well. Some items on this test would include, how to balance a checkbook, how to calculate interest on a loan, How to prepare a basic meal from scratch, how to complete a simple tax form, basic negotiation skills, how use word, excel, powerpoint and outlook.

6. Create a government that consumes no more than 25% of the GDP, and takes no more than 25% of any person's productivity. The Government would not be allowed to run a debt unless in times of extreme emergency, with a plan to pay said debt back in five years once the crisis has passed.

7. Ensure a basic financial safety net that would guaranty no one starves or is without basic necessities like a place to live, clothing, medical care etc, but require all able-body/minded persons to work in order to get welfare, medicaid etc... if these recipients cannot find jobs in the private sector then they will be required to work for the government in some capacity.
8. Eliminate all ICE vehicles within 2 generations, through incentives. Set up a public-private partnership to provide a hydrogen infrastructure for fuel cell vehicles.
9. Eliminate the use of Fossil Fuels for power generation over the next 50-75 years,
10. Find a method of Geo-Engineering to reverse the effects of global warming and to prevent further damage to the atomosphere.

Once all this is in place, and I have transitioned a world wide elected government, I would then resign as king and go into a comfortable retirement in the Swiss alps. LOL
Thanks for this!
