Afraid to get IP because they may decide to NOT take me off the meds. Considering cold turkey? Know thats not always the safest but it would be the quickest and that (quickest) would be great! I'm on:
Tegretol:200mg AM & 400mg PM, Latuda 80mg PM
TIRED OF THE MEDICATION MERRY-GO-ROUND!
Thanks for this!

I've started to taper yesterday. It's going to be slow...approximately 5-5 1/2 months if all goes well. I have a notebook that I'll keep a journal entry each day of what I took and how I felt. I will allow T and NP to read it if they desire.
Thanks for this!

No, it's not ridiculous. You can go back to it anytime you feel it's the right time. If you heard something on Dr. Phil that gave you pause to re-evaluate, so be it. You're evaluating.

I'm trying to taper off but it's most likely to switch to something else. It will be a very slow go b/c it's an MAOI & needs to be completely out of my system for at least 2 wks before starting anything else.

I wish you luck on the journey. Keep us posted if you're OK with it.

Omg the episode where the girl shot her mom? Too close for comfort. Where was dr phil when she needed a defense lawyer? Ive been on pretty much the same meds for almost fifteen years and i am finally getting stable. They are not like waving a magic wand. I think its like what they say about weight loss surgery - its only a tool. You can out-eat surgery? You can out-crazy your meds if you keep stepping in shyte!

Thanks. Im gonna try getting off if my letter to NP is convincing enough that she is willing to try. We'll see. Im hoping to reschedule with NP for this coming tuesday to discuss it.
