Hello detour1: I don't know the answer to your question. However, I was on Cymbalta for... oh... well over a year, I guess it was (memory fails me...) When I decided I wanted to get off of it, I went in to see my pdoc to get his recommendation regarding a tapering schedule. I had been taking the maximum recommended dosage. He recommended a tapering schedule that took me from the maximum recommended dosage down to 0 over the course of two weeks. I thought that was very fast. However, since that was what he recommended, I went with it & it was okay. I didn't have nay particular problems. Of course, everyone is different & my experience may not be yours. So the best thing to do here is to check back in with your pdoc.

Hi detour1, in my experience it sounds like Cymbalta w/d could be causing your symptoms. I'm glad you'll be seeing your pdoc.

Your Dr. didn't even taper you off it, so it is definitely withdrawal.

You could be having problems for quite some time, unless you reinstate it.
