This happened a long time ago, but it's still relevant

I had an aunt who died this past July. Now, I didn't really grieve over it because I never really saw her. She lived in Colorado with her husband and two daughters. I felt obligated to show some type of emotion, but I couldn't. I didn't feel close enough to her to do that. The again, I can't imagine what my two cousins went through losing a mother. If I lost my mother, I'd be devestated and would probably fall into severe depression for a while. I wish I was able to talk to my relatives more so that I could be closer to them.

May I ask why you aren't able to talk to them?
