I am not catholic yet and my region and catholic is the same and I feel and sad for the great man. He will be mess and we will not forget him and what he done. He done so much for the people and the young one and for the world. He touch everyone's heart and he touch those who need to be touch. He forgive those for hurting others and he forgive those who do not understand or catholic. He was there for the people and he was there to understand and to expect.
I grow up with him and I remember him when I was younger. It is sad to see him go and it was sad to hear him passaway. I hope we all learn from him and I hope we are understand what he was trying to do. As he would say life is short and love those as you would want to be love back. I forgive my mom for not Baptisming me as I wish she did. Because now I am geting done because that is what I want. Baptis Catholic because my two kids are and my husband to be is. As the pope did he forgive those and so we should too Do not forget what he has done and do not forget him.

Nice thoughts, lostangel. The good part is: it is not the end just the beginning of another journey. John Paul II's legacy is that he touched so many ppl all over the world. It is said that he spoke "in person" to more ppl than has any other person in the world. He was a peace-loving Pope...and that would be the only real area for which some may criticize him. Obviously because of his life...in Poland, the Nazis etc, he could not stand any warring.
It is the beginning of a new era. I have been through this before (as I am old!)... and the wonderful feeling you will have soon, with the new Pope, will be as intense as any sadness you may feel now. Good wishes for your new religious endeavors.

The Pope's actions in his final days show he was ready to meet the person he had dedicated his life serving. We all can learn a lesson from his courage to let nature take its course. Although I am not Catholic, I am very saddened at his passing, as he has changed many things about the world with his peace-making ways. May he finally be at peace.

I can't say it any better than the others did so I'll just agree. He sure was an example for all of us... Christian or not. When you believe in something with all that you are, it's worth dedicating your life to.
