2004 - I lost my first guniea - pig, Coffee. She was four. She had kidney cancer.
2007 - I lost Coffee's sister, Cream. She was seven. She died of old age. 2008 - Toffee died of heart failure. I only found this out after. I didn't know what was wrong with her when she was ill. I don't know how old she was. 2008 - Treacle died of a broken heart. With Toffee gone, she didn't know what to do. Again, her age was unknown. R.I.P. my babies. You may be gone from sight, but never from my heart. I'll see you again on the Bridge. |

When pets come into families they become more than just pets - they're special member of our families. It doesn't matter if it's a small mouse, cat or dog - losing them hurts. So sorry you lost your pet family members

Bryony, they are never just pets are they? No matter how small. I had a hamster named Easter. I had him for 4 years and I woke up one day and he was gone. I cried like a baby. Sorry for the loss of your furbabies

thanks I know they were never just pets but whenever I talk about them that's what I think people will say ..... stuff like "They're just pets, you should get over them already" etc

No, they are not just pets. I lost my boy just last night and feel shattered. I am so sorry for your losses.

I can share in the heart ache you feel. Losing our best friends is so hard. I really try to keep all the good memories front most in my mind. That and Rainbow bridge make it a little easier.
