Oh, no, one of my daughter's best friends just died tonight. They were buddy's all through high school and even to this day. He was an usher at her wedding and is/was a terrific person. There was even a time I thought they would marry.

He suffered with body dysmorphic disorder and took his own life but was seeking and receiving help we understood. Oh, no, he was also gay and the most wonderful person, we love him so much.

We are so much in shock and sad but not crying, just numb. It's after midnight so just wanted to, I don't know, just say it here...I guess.

My daughter has gone through so much loss recently...as I posted not long ago about her friend, the mother and baby that died in the float plane accident.

I just need to figure out the strength part, the support...to be for her...

I/we could sure use your prayers and support too.

Thankyou John and Bebop...

so sad we still can not grasp

There were such happy times. We believe he is in a more peaceful place but he was so valuable to us all and gave so much to each of us.

Bye B.

There will be a service for the family and friends next week.

He has the greatest smile in the pictures we have been viewing. It has been a joy to be part of his life despite us all being so sad.

Want to remember him as he would want us to remember him. We will, we promise.

(((((Hunny))))),

I am sorry I didn't see your post before now. I will pray for you & your family & his family to find peace with the trauma of loosing your daughters friend in that way. Know that your faith will be a strength to his family also & for your daughter to lean on. Will pray for your strength & faith & know that it will provide what is necessary for yourself & those around you to not only survive through this, but to grow in your own strength.

May God carry you all through this difficult time,

Debbie

Oh, Eskie, thank you!

Our grief is so unique like a snowflake and we are a bit of a mess, all over the page but slowly accepting and you are right to say trauma. At first we thought a regular grief but we see this grieving for our dear friend has an added component of trauma.

Found a quote this morning from my grief book, Grief Share:

"It's a myth that you can anticipate the grief and that you work through you grief ahead of time" Dr Robert C DeVries.

We do pray for the family and thank you for thinking of them too. He was well-loved, was so respectful of our daughter. His Mom provided wonderful educational opportunities for him and his compassion and love for others will be deeply missed.

Thing is we have had two traumatic deaths recently. The other was a Mom and her daughter in a plane crash. So, we are so traumatized! We are becoming more calm as each day passes but yesterday our anger around the losses just burst out! We not a very quiet griever when the suppressed emotions are lifted, I am afraid.

Of course, wrapped in all this is the guilt feelings of not doing enough, so we talked to our therapist who helped us see we did everything we could and the feelings hopefully will follow that. We also have our memories of the people in our family...*sigh* This is why our avitar is like a burned out landscape after the devastating effects of a forest fire.

So, all in all it has been one of those terror just to go through and it felt like we dropped our shield of faith and a few arrows got through. But, we see we still have it. We believe with all our hearts that he is, even now in heaven as is the Mom and baby and we are to see them again. P E A C E

So, thank you Eskie for sharing your heart and for the others, it means a great deal and we will find that peace again.

Love,
Hunny
