i wasnt sure where to post or how to give this post a topic...my grandparents have been married for 57 years...(((oh to find love that could ever last that long)))the sad thing now is my grandfather is dying...i cant tell you how very heartbreaking it is to watch my grandmother fuss and care for the only man she has ever loved...hospice is now here to help her and our family...she promised him he would die at home and be well taken care of...she is doing a wonderful job...a job that isnt easy..i know the world evolves and dying is a very natural part of life but how hard it is to stand by and watch a spouse despertely hold on ,,and watch the only true thing she has ever know be taken so slowly...my grandfather is somewhat aware..and when he is ,he tells he how much he loves her and thanks her for her care...i envy then for the love that they have..how many marriages really last anymore...i feel selfish caught up in yet another bout of depression..and yet she has the hardest job that life has ever goven her and i only wish i knew how to make some of thier pain go away.....

how touching and how heart breaking.........but how very lucky they were to have all those years together......maybe you can't take away the pain but you can hold a hand.....say an "i love you" and when the day comes when your gramdma needs you the most........i'm sure that you will be the arms that hold and comfort her.......God bless you all
