Just had to vent, no responses expected. July 4 was the date my twins were due back in 2001. I miscarried them (first one, then the other; we were really hoping at least one would live) back in 2000, around Thanksgiving -- so, two holidays that will always have some poignancy for me. It was an early miscarriage but very painful nonetheless.

I am so sorry. We always remember what might have been for our precious children that we lost way too soon. ( look at my signature line- I think I may understand how you feel)

Many thanks to you all for your kind comments. Most of my family has completely forgotten about the miscarriage, and my husband and I are having bad marital difficulties, so I had nobody to share this with. You all are so kind. Thank you.

Losing a child is losing a child no matter the age. I belong to the Bereaved Parents group and am the registrar for their National Gathering next week. When I get registrations and I see a miscarriage, stillborn, or young child's death, I just cringe. I lost a child but I had the privilege of having him for 24 years. I got to realize some of the hopes and dreams that I had for him the moment I conceived him. You didn't have that and it's heartbreaking. It's a loss only another parent can grasp.

Hugs to you.
Thanks for this!

I'm very sorry. I know I'm just a teenager and can't relate to your loss but my thoughts will be with you.

Thank you all, again, for your kind and supportive comments; I appreciate it so much! For so many years I have dealt with this grief alone (my husband never discusses the twins), so your hugs and words of comfort mean more than I can adequately express.
