My son's best friend's dad died last night. He was only 37.

I'm just totally taken aback. My son said he was out on the trampoline with them last night and he was fine.
We still don't know what happened.

Thanks everyone.
I'm having a really hard time grasping this. I can't imagine what his wife and kids are going through. Someone that young doesn't go from playing with the kids in the yard to being dead a few hours later. They just don't.

The obituary is in today's paper. It says he died unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 14. He was 36.

It turns out he had sleep apnea.
His 13-y/o son went in to his room in the morning, couldn't get him to wake up, tried rolling him over and he was cold and stiff. He called 911 and said "my dad is dead." It makes me so sad that a medical problem like that can be taken care of and so many overweight men who snore ignore it.

sometimes though it isn't known a person has sleep apnea epecially if they are alone in the bed. yes it is very very sad. the child is so young to lose a parent like that.
