May of 1996 I lost a very close friend, Sarah . She was killed in a car accident that involved a horse. she had been accepted to college and was 3 weeks away from graduation. Her brother Zeb and I were really good friends. I worked really close woith Sarah doing our year book before I graduated. She had made a special page just for him. When I look at that page It makes me cry. She was such a wonderful friend. When Kenney Chesney put out this song, Who You'd Be Today! I immediately thought of her and my other friend Kerry, who also died in a car accident three years later to the day almost. So I am posting these lyrics for them! I miss you guys!!!

KENNY CHESNEY LYRICS

"Who You'd Be Today"

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
I feel you everywhere I go.
I see your smile, I see your face,
I hear you laughin' in the rain.
I still can't believe you're gone.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who'd you be today?

Would you see the world? Would you chase your dreams?
Settle down with a family,
I wonder what would you name your babies?
Some days the sky's so blue,
I feel like I can talk to you,
An' I know it might sound crazy.

It ain't fair: you died too young,
Like the story that had just begun,
But death tore the pages all away.
God knows how I miss you,
All the hell I've been through,
Just knowin' no-one could take your place.
An' sometimes I wonder,
Who you'd be today?

Today, today, today.
Today, today, today.

[Instrumental Break]

Sunny days seem to hurt the most.
I wear the pain like a heavy coat.
The only thing that gives me hope,
Is I know I'll see you again some day.

Some day, some day, some day.

I understand how losing someone can hurt so much. It has been over 6 years since my dad died and I feel like it was yesterday. Knowing that I am going to have a serious heart operation soon, I find myself thinking about life and dead more often, which in turn makes me think about losing my dad. I am so sorry for your loss and for someone to die young is even harder. Remember crying is ok even if it was a long time ago. Memories live forever and never should be forgotten. If it just trying to deal with the feelings and the lost. That takes a lot of time, healing and sometimes therapy. Please don't feel bad for still feeling sad and being emotional, it is ok. Keep writing to us and sharing your feelings with us, we care here. It has been almost 10 years

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.
