Today is a sad day for me. My hubby' Mom loved July 4th! That woman loved to blow things up! Her neighbors wrote us a letter when she died saying they would shoot some firecrackers for her at 8am every 4th from now on. I guess the rest of the family was there today doing just that for her! God I miss her!

thanks ej. I am sorry you had a bad day too hon.
zen thanks I am feeling better. it was just that hubby's mom dearly loved the 4th and this is the first without her. she passed in April this year.

Well gee -- it was your first 4th without her. She sounds like she was a firecracker in her own right. I didn't expect my reaction at all. I think I was just reacting to memories of past get togethers with people. I am so miserable in rural Kansas. I don't connect with the people here, and just can't hubby to even consider moving anywhere else. Hugs, EJ |

EJ when I lived in Kansas she was the only one I did anything with! lunch and shopping at least once a week! She told me one time that if we had met when she was younger we would have gotten in so much trouble!! lol I loved her very much.
