This is a rough period in my life right now. The 4th anniversary of my dad's death was on July 26. I had to put my cat to sleep on August 3rd after having her 18 years. My dad's birthday is August 17th. The first birthday without my mom will be August 24. She would have been 86. At first I felt really angry like I wanted to hurt myself or just yell and hurt other people. My pastor pointed out how incredibly lonely I felt which I didn't realize at the time. Life sucks right now.

Having been close to both my parents and I lost them 4 years apart in September. My Mom's birthday was Sept 7 she died 10 days after her 78th birthday. So September for me is like August for you. Daddy died in Sept at the age of 84. I still miss them very much. My Mom was my best friend. I don't really have any others except my daughter, which I thank God for everyday.

I hope it gets easier for you as time passes, but my experience is that it will always suck for around this time of year. I know I'm already gearing up for September, so I understand. I wish peace.
