He was also my ex, so it didn't work out, the friendship. But he was hilarious. He made fun of me in ways that were hilarious. He had a potty mouth. He was my friend and I miss him. he was the only person I let tease me. It wasn't always funny though.

starrysky sorry for the loss of your ex. It must be so difficult to let go of someone that has been such a part of your life.

I lost my dad a year ago and even though we did not agree on lots of things, I felt like part of me had died when he died. I had to reinvent who I thought I was. It has taken time but I have started to let go of the sadness and start again to live my life every day.

Hope you find support to help you through these sad times.

Hey CANDC. I thought I'd responded to your post but I guess I didn't. I know I intended to. Thank you for your kind words. I am doing better. That clown will always be in my memory. But I also know in my heart, that leaving our friendship was the most healthy thing I could do for myself.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. Thats kind of like me n my dad. We don't see eye to eye on everything (he likes to drink, I don't want him to). Though things have gotten better since I moved out. Anyway, thank you for sharing what you shared with me. I can understand feeling like a part of you died when he died, too. I am glad that time has been healing for you. Thank you again.
