Hello. My girlfriends father just passed away and she is extremely sad about it, and I feel so bad myself to see her and know she's in that much pain, so I feel very emotional myself.
I'm just kind of at a loss to know if I should try to hold back my tears, you know and be strong type of thing, or just let myself cry to show her compassion and empathy and to show her that I care about her and would take her pain away if I could. Thank you.

Dear Photonate,
How heartbreaking! Wish I could offer advice, but sadly I don't know what I would do if I was in your shoes. I hope you find what works best for both of you! Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

@Photonate I am sorry for the loss and sadness you and your girlfriend feel.
Is your girlfriend crying. I would reach out to her and see if she embraces you being near or draws back in isolating themselves.
