So sorry _zh.
 .... am thinking of you. It's hard to lose someone any time and any way- but it does seem a bit more difficult when it's sudden and those last words don't get to be shared. My dad passed away while my mom was out with a friend. That "sudden loss" feeling is confusing, overwhelming/and underwhelming at the same time-- I couldn't grasp feelings for quite some time. Please be gentle with yourself and try to let things/feelings go where they may need to-- understanding them will come on it's own time. _zh- mandy |

I am very sorry to hear about your mother. My parents were both gone by the time i turned 28. I know how you feel, the shock and lonliness.

thank you all so very very much for the kindness as this was so sudden, unexpected and totally unforeseen.....absolute shock continues as brother and self make plans in two countries. anyone know anyone in the state dept who could help w/ renewal? bro's passport expired last month.
being in separate countries makes all this so much harder. day by day and moment by moment. thank you all and bless you all for your support and heart warmth. we're so heartbroken and y'all are helping us heal.

I think he can go to the Embassy and the Consular can issue an emergency, limited validity passport.
