my baby boy Lou died at the animal hospital last night....
i'm about to go to pick up his little body so i can bury it next to my other baby boy Oliver - who passed away seven months ago.... very sad........very numb........

you have deepest sympathies for both of your cats. i had 2 cats die 9 days apart from each other. it's a long, sad story and i'd rather spare you from that. it happened 9 years ago, so i have 3 cats one dog now. but, i know what you're going through. we're here for you.

Gost...so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby! I have three cats who give me much joy, but I fear for them and try to take care of them as best I can. One is old and not doing so well, and so I can feel your pain.

thank you everyone...i really, really appreciate the posts...i'm sooo sad losing my little boy. i live alone with my 'babies' ....this time last year, i had two dogs and two cats...both my cats have passed away now...my boys...
If you have a cat or know someone who does: Please, please, please if you notice your kitty not eating DON'T wait to take him/her to the vet. I've learned the hard way that a cat's liver gets sick after not eating for just 2 days!!

omg....that's exactly what happened to my previous 2 cats 9 years ago because a stupid vet specialist for pet allergies put one of them on this diet that he told me was safe for all 3 of my cats! it was horribly devastating, as i tried to save them, since they were young and had been totally healthy prior to that medical mistake. my oldest cat, who's 13, is the only survivor of my last generation, since she never got sick that way. i was scared for months that i was going to lose her, too, and kept my eye very closely on her well-being. the oldest had been my hubby's cat when we were girlfriend and boyfriend. the 2 i lost had been mine. sucked, yeah. that's why i'm so picky in the vet i chose for all my furries, because i don't ever, ever want to go through that again. good thing is, my oldest and the 2 more additions and one dog are very healthy, since i take very good care of them and have a vet that i can totally trust. it's true, if your cat hasn't eaten for any, ANY reason for more than 2 days, do not ever hesitate to take them to the vet. some cats are prone to this liver disease if they don't eat. and, it's quite difficult to bring them back from that, since it's a very labor-intensive kind of care. gost.....i know that horror. i went through it 9 years ago. i know the devastation. i totally feel for you.

Please accept my thoughts to you for your loss.A cat's purr is the most wonderful feeling of all. Do you have any pets left?
