I have always posted about my mom in this forum, but this time its good news.

I am not sure if anyone remembers when I had placed a post regarding my mom: Please God....

Well, my mom just had her appointment at the cancer clinic. It was to see if she was ready to start the new treatment. She does not have to have treatment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all shocked, her doctor being the first. The last treatment that they had done is one that continues to work for about 6 months after. Yet last time she had gone to the clinic was not good news. Since then, her tumors have shrunk to the point of almost GONE!!!!!! Her blood work was amazing, almost to a "normal, healthy" person's blood. My mom has also been taking alternative medicine. It's new, natural products that her doctor said she could safely take. I agree with my mom in the fact that she thinks this has had something to do with it.

So happy, happy, happy news!!! She does not have to go see her cancer doc for a YEAR!!! Her CT, MRI, and other tests showed significant improvment. If she can make it to the 5 year remission date: she is considered cured. Wow, I think if anything, her positive attitude towards her health has got her where she is now. My parents were here just over a week ago and she looked great. My dad on the other hand....grrrrr. He was such a jerk. He treated everyone like a piece of garbage and it took everything inside to hold back from telling him to leave and not come back. I was appalled with his behavior, his usual sick way of being who he is. But it was a small price to pay for the kids to see their grandparents and for some time with my mom.

It is hard many times to look at them. I have so much anger, hate kind of feelings...but they are my parents. These feelings are mostly towards my father though, maybe that's what makes it easier to tolerate him to have time with her.

Justy,

That is wonderful news about your mother.

It is too bad that your father has to be like that but please don't let it spoil the joy you must be feeling regarding your mom.

I suck at spelling so this is my shot at the names of the treatment.

Rutuxin - medical treatment. And onocolyn - which is an alternative treatment.

That's all I understand. I find it all so confusing that I have to get my mom to explain things over and over. I do know that the onocolyn work together with the chemo meds. It enhances them. It is a fairly new treatment but has proven to be safe and effective. My mom's friend used this as well: she has breast and lung cancer. She went through treatments for a very long time and is now doing wonderful. OF course with her medical treatments, not just the onocolyn.

Thanks everyone, I think she is going to be just wonderful.
