It will be 4 years on the 19th of April since Adam, my step son( I always thought of him as my own) was killed in a car accident. He was 17 and on his way to his Parol officer to let him know that he recieved his GED and was looking to go into the navy. It was 1130 in the morning and he veered into the on coming lane right into an 18wheeler, both of them doing about 60 mph. He died instantly for that I am grateful and the other driver wasn't hurt. I sent a letter to the driver of the other vehicle and told him that I didn't believe that he was at fault and that there was nothing he could of done. I prayed that he wouldn't let this accident ruin his life. There was a reason that my son was taken away, but that he still had a life waiting for him.
Adam always had something nice to say to me. I am glad that we always said "I love you" even if we had a fight. He told me that he loved me the last time I saw him. Please always try to tell those you love that you love them. You never know when the last time you will see them will be. |
