Hi all.
I had a psychosomatic illness last year, and it left me with numbness in my right leg, left arm, right side of my face, buttocks and some of my back. I would guess that I have a maximum of about 80% of feeling available in these areas. Is there any way I can get full feeling back? It's pretty important to me to get it back if I can. Thanks. |

If the numbness is truly from a psychosomatic issue and not a medical problem then I suggest you talk with your T concerning this matter and get to the bottom of it all.

I have DID and I just recently discovered that a few of the medical problems I have been scared about where more DID (emotional based) than any thing else, with numbness of my face being one of them, now I just talk to who ever it is (an alter) having these issues when they happen and they go away much faster.

I wonder if an exercise routine would help?
I have some neuropathy from my cancer treatments and therefore, numbness in hands and feet, and someplace else from the surgery.... so I exercise every day ~ and I think things are getting better. I am still dealing with numbness in fingers and stuff, but the rest of me wants to move and function!!! So, I am getting stronger and feeling less of the side effects I have. And I heard that as a side effect, I might be over it in 3-12 months, and maybe completely, depending on extent. If you have this as a side effect ~ you might ask if exercising daily will help, and what type of exercise is best for you. I do stretching with pilates, yoga for strength also, and qi gong for healing, and now swimming for general well-being... so together, all of this helping me move forward. I pay less attention to the numbness now, only if it stings do I really focus. Then I just do breathing exercises to release the tension around the muscles surrounding the nerves, you know? Anyway, hope this helps you, Dear Biscuit! Peace and Wellness, Night xoxo ![]() |
