Im thinking of going this route. I cannot lose weight for love nor money. I would do it undr docs supervision. See the thing is I cant really excersize because of pain.. and when i take pain meds, Im too tired to do anything! so im wondering ifthis would be a valid use of them, considering I am diagnosed ADD as well.. It couldnt hurt right? Thoughts ladies and gents?

I'd run this by your P doc Rainbow . I have adhd too but I'm not on meds.

I know what you mean by being tired . This is my first experience with oxycodon . ( two 5mg ) i think . made me so tired they could not wake me in the hospital . They said I could only take one.

I find movement eases my pain . Its when Im at rest . ( laying or sitting ) That the pain returns . And advil is not cutting it . I hope this is a baldder infection I have . Im in pain and no strong stuff. so I wake up in the middle of the night.

A very honest wieghed and measured food plan should help you lose your weight. When I was in the hospital , I realized My portions were times 3

gosh those servings of fruit were tiny....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

is that all I get?

Hi Rainbozz. I'm sorry to hear about all your pain and stuff. I would definatly talk to my doc before trying amphetimine drugs. Because you could have an underlying problem that amphetimine would make worse and also there are alot of long term risks that goes with useing amphetimine. please be careful. I know it's hard to lose weight but sometimes amphhetimines can cause more problems.

...another one chipping in to say check with your doc!

i tried a low dose for something else, and pdoc did warn me about weight loss (which has been a huge problem for me in the past) and said we would have to come off it if i lost too much. but i didnt lose anything, just stayed completely stable.

your doc will know if there are other options which may be more viable before trying these guys. i didnt like them much myself, and gave it up after a while.

Ages ago, like maybe twenty years, I discussed weight loss with my gyn doc and he offered to prescribe meds to help me lose weight as long as I would come to the office every two weeks to evaluate how I was doing. I started but faltered after a month or so because I wasn't serious enough then to exercise regularly so I stopped taking them. There is some value to using the drugs (can't remember which I took back then) but you do need a competent doctor to prescribe/evaluate as there can be negative side effects from the drugs potentially.

Best of luck.

Given the attitude toward addictive drugs in the U.S., I would be kind of surprised if a doctor here would prescribe amphetamines for weight loss. But you're in Canada, Rainbowzz--maybe they aren't as strict. Do you think you could find a doc to prescribe this for you?

I take a stimulant for ADHD but it hasn't helped me lose weight. For me, less food and more exercise are probably what would help. Good luck!
