Okay I'm not sure what it was but it happened immediately after I tried not to have a panic attack. I was at the beach looking at the water, then I started to think about tidal waves and how if I think about it it'll happen. So I turned and just walked away to clear my head but I started to feel very faint like I was going to fall. Then everything started to hear very far away and muffled and my vision was getting more and more snowy and I was having trouble walking. I wasn't hyperventilating to my knowledge but it was getting hard for me to breath. I was on the beach so I was trying to get to the board walk before I fell and when I got up onto it I couldn't stand any longer and I just fell onto all fours. I never lost consciousness but I was in this dark silent place. It was scary. I also couldn't feel my head, like maybe I was hyperventilating.?
It took me almost 10 minutes sitting there in the middle of the board walk to feel somewhat normal. It was nothing like any panic attack I have ever had before. Even 20 minutes later I felt very weak.

It might have been a drug interaction. Like I was taking Geodon and then I switched to symbyax without waiting for it to get out of my system. My friend said she had severe panic attacks while on Geodon so I'm guessing it's that. But I don't know, I'll see my doctor soon.

Hey. It sounds like a panic attack to me. That's how mine are. The blurry vison dizzyness and hard to breathe. Talk to your doc about it when you see them.

It does sound like a major panic attack. I have Panic Disorder and they happen to me but I take medication for it now and they are a lot better. The rapid change of your meds may have caused it, but please call your Dr. and tell him/her what happened just in case he/she wants to add something to your regimen to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Also, if you're feeling panicky, try to hold something cold, like a wash cloth wet with cold water, a cold soda can, anything cold. Concentrate on the coolness. Touch it to the back of your neck, your throat and your forehead. Think about it in your hand. It really, really helps. If you have a glass of soda or something with ice cubes in it, swirl the ice cubes and watch them. It will center you.

I wish you all the best.

It sound like a panic attack with derealisim which is why your vision proberly started going snowy. I use to have panic atacks where I would I get tunnel vission then if some thing made me worse I would walk out of where ever I was and just walk fast, some time I would snap out of it hour later and far away from where i started and other time just a fue mins and not far at all. I do not remember much of the panic attack I had to have crossed several roads and once it was light when I freaked out and dark when i snapped out of it. I was in one area and snapped out of it several areas and 3 hours later and I dont remember much at all.

I agree with January I attended an intense anxiety course and they mentioned your
symptoms Volatile. The suggestion re the ice cubes sounds good. I might try it.
