I woke up this morning with a swollen throat that hurts only slightly. It feels big and swollen more than anything else. It hurts just enough that I checked it out in the mirror with a flasghlight. I found white spots around my tonsils and wonder if it could be strep. I am also sneezing a lot.
Could it possibly be strep even if it doesn't hurt enough? I thought that if one has strep and has those white spots already that there should be some more pain. It barely hurts at all at this point. I am getting record snowfall in my area and might not be able to see the doctor for a long while. What could this be?

Hey Lindozone,

I don't know if it is strep or not but I woke up yesterday and my right gland is swollen and it has effected my right jaw, right ear, behind ear on head and my throat.

It's not a sore throat and only hurts as if the muscle is pulled to...

so even though it sounds different it also sounds the same...

I am sorry you have your sore throat and I hope it gets better sooner than later obviously .

Get well and drink liquids... sorry to be no help other than here's
a group hug
I hope you get feel better soon.... ThaCrew

Yes it can be strep even without intense pain. Some people don't have pain with strep. The only way to know is to be tested. Maybe at an ugent care?

Echos is right, I get strep all the time (yeah! not) and that's pretty much a major sign of it. You definitely need to go to the doc for strep. Hope it gets better soon.

It could be strep without pain and without a fever. I would go have it checked
