I went to work out today and after about 10 minutes on the exercise bike my knees starting really hurting. it was a weird like cold pain. This was at like 3:00 and my knees are still hurting. This hasn't happened to me before when I work out and I'm wondering what's causing it. I had bronchitis a couple weeks ago and am wondering if it could be connected to that in some way.

Sounds like something to ask your doctor about. It could be a side effect from being sick. I wished I was more help.

It could be so many different things...
Was the onset sudden? Or did you feel it gradually and then keep going and then it got worse? Does it feel like the joint or a muscle or a tendon / ligament attaching to the joint? Does it hurt only when you move it or even when it is still? Is there someplace specific that hurts (e.g., if you poke at them) or is it more generally in the knee area? Does it hurt the same in both knees? It could be that you didn't do any exercise (or that range of motion) when you were sick and that you were a little too vigorous with them. Especially if it is cold where you are now (so the fluid between the joints solidifies a little) and you started on a harder setting or went pretty fast. Does an anti-inflammatory help? |
