Does anyone else have the dx of ms? I was diagnosed about 3 years ago when an MRI of my brain was done. I had symptoms for years, numbess and weakness that would stay for 2 -6 months then disappear. I thought i was crazy. My left hand is always weak now and my balance is poor. Anyway just checking to see if I am the only one.

Hi H,
Your not alone. I was recently dx'ed with MS. I've been having a lot of trouble with bladder and kidney problems for the last 6 months. I also have numbness and weakness on my right side. With my right leg and arm they go numb and I'm unable to hold onto things and have trouble walking. I've also had a lot of vision problems in my right eye, just going blurred and unable to see. I've been lucky that it only last for a few days at a time, but it occurs every couple of months. Right now the biggest problem is the kidney and bladder function. I have an appointment soon for more test. Yeah most of the time I think I'm just crazy and this is all in my head. It's hard to believe the dx on the days that you feel well. Sometimes I hope that this is all a mistake. Monty

Hi Monty.
It is nice to know someone else here is struggling with these issues. I also have bladder issues and trouble walking. These symptoms started occuring for me about 6 months after I was raped and beated so I thougth it was from that . I still wonder if these symptoms are just residual from the assult. But my MRI was abnormal so I guess at some point I have to accept it. I was supposed to have more MRI but my husband was out of work from June of last year until Nov and we had no health insurance. Now things are to busy. I can't afford the medication anyway. H |

Ah! Just found this! I was dx'd with MS over a year ago, but they were "wrong" in that I don't have but one "lesion" and not in brain. But I have all the same symptoms as in MS due to the infringement of the vertebrae into the spinal cord....
Some of the pharmaceutical companies will provide meds free, but you have to contact them directly. ![]()

Hi Linda,
thanks for sharing, Sorry to hear your dealing with MS too. I feel like I had plenty of problems before, didn't need this added on LOL I am still fairly new to this site as well, what a blessing to have a place where people care. |

PS I have myelopathy (one lesion) thus all the same symptoms.... I used to go to a support group and it was one of the best efforts I made... if you can, go to one... sharing and hearing what is available etc is unbelievable!
