Echoes, I am so glad you updated us and that your situation is being handled well. I hope it all heals up very quickly.

You described my specialist to a "T", right down to how he dresses. For a moment I thought we were living in the same city, but then you said sub-tropics and I knew I was mistaken.

Please take very good care of you.

Glad it went well and you like your new doc, ECHOES. That's good he will follow your situation closely. And it's good to know there is some benefit to being a couch potato!

Thank you everyone

I like both the docs, but a little less after viewing my insurance claim online to see how much I will have to pay (lousy, high-deductible plan). They EACH charged $305 ! And I have to see each one again in May. I know they are specialists but

I have these light flashes sometimes, never heard them described as lightning bolts. Mine usually happen when I get out of bed or rise up from a resting/sitted positon. It's happened other times too. One time when I was pregnant and I opened the door and it was very hot outside. I always feel really dizzy and faint when this happens. I don't know why this happens, but it doesn't sound like it's what you have. Mine only last a few minutes at the most, but I feel like I'm going to pass out.

Yes, it sounds different. It would be good to ask your doctor about this. Your vision is so precious.
