well i went to the gynecologist today only to be told i need surgery asap. so im booked in to have surgery on the 3rd of august. But there is a problem she seems to think something is stuck in my uterus
one thing that comes to mind is simple.. but the thing is a lil history. my step dad sexually abused me an raped me many times. i become pregnant at 15 and did everything i could to miscarry (please dont judge me for it, i was young scared) i threw myself down stairs, hit myself until one day at a national aerobics competition i miscarried. now im worried thats what she is talking about as she knew about this. what else could it be?

Teary, could never ever judge you for something like that. My heart just wants to hold and protect you. Please know that anything you did or anything that happened to you was not your fault. I am sorry you have to have an operation . What would you think of being honest with the doctor? Because nothing that happened was your fault. And you are good. Of course you do not have to say a word to her. Its totally up to you. But if you want to talk to her about it, I really believe it would be okay. Have you called your t to tell her about the surgery? huge safe hugs for you teary.

Teary, is there a reason why you cannot call your T? this sounds like a very important thing. Could you call and ask her for extra support? you sure do deserve that.

Please don't think you would be judged here is one of the safe places in which that will not happen; your situation was very traumatic and very frightening, if possible could you get to see a doc?

Keep us posted on how you go teary, I'm holding on to right now and protecting you

((((Love and hugs))))

We all begin to conjure up wild and fearful things when facing surgery. That's normal. Please don't think any further about "what" "it" is now. Let them remove it and tell YOU what they find. It could be totally unrelated. I heard that there is no statute of limitations with regards to sexual abuse now.

I agree with JD on this one. Try not to think about what it could be - this will cause you unnecessary stress. It might be a uterine cyst that's benign. I'm sorry this is conjuring up the terrible SA you suffered. What a terrible man he was.

(((((((teary me))))))),

Benign uterus cysts are quite normal......& unrelated to having had miscarriages. It's best not to worry about what they will find. Normally with a miscarriage, they do a DNC to clean out the uterus of anything that might be left behind. You are probably just dealing with normal female things that happen at times...nothing to worry about & having a good Dr that understands your situation I am sure all will go well.

Looking ahead at having surgery is stressful, no need to add any more stress to the situation by worrying what it might be.

Praying for a successful surgery & a healthy recovery.
