My feet have been bothering me for quite awhile now. Maybe over a year. I know that is bad. But I dont like going to the doc.

It seems to bother me most if Ive been on my feet all day, like at work. Usually its one foot or the other, but sometimes its both. Sometimes they ache hours and sometimes all night and I cant sleep because of it. Not sure if it has to do with the veins or not, but there always seems to be a small bump on the top of foot somewhere when they hurt. A few times I could feel the pain into some toes, but not often. Its just on the top of the feet. Sometimes they ache really bad. Other times I am lucky and its is light. I keep hoping it will just go away. I dont want to go to the doc for this and wont unless it gets alot worst. I think I have a really high pain threshold maybe. Also, when they are sore at work and its break time, I dread sitting down because I know when I stand up it will be painful for a bit until I have walked a bit. And its hard to stand up and not look like something is wrong so I have to plan that out so no one notices it. Either that or not take a break.

No looking for a diagnoses, just wondering if this sounds familar to anyone. Maybe its something simple I can fix.

Hi, Suzzie,

When I read what you are writing maybe it sort of sounds like what I am feeling too.

I have some pain on the top of my foot and a little bump, especially on the right foot. For the longest time I thought it was my shoes, my weight, my not getting enough exercise, eating wrong foods, etc etc.

About 6 months ago I had an XRay and sure enough there is a little osteoporosis. You mentioned standing up after sitting and it hurts for a few minutes and this is exactly what happens to me. I had a stand-up job last year for a few months and I was glad when it ended because I was in lots of pain.

Part of my self-care is to keep gently active. It really helped to walk in the the pool. It took the weight off my feet yet allowed my foot to stretch in a way that is too painful to do on the land (sort of).

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks, Hunny

I looked up osteoporosis and found this site. You might like it too. It has lots of info. Turns out I could have one of several things. Oh well, I know its probably not serious anyway.

Are your feet doing any better since the xray.
