I woke up with one today. It has been about a month since I had one this bad so I am beginning to think it is hormonal that is causing this. I can't go on the pill because it causes a lot of hassles because I tried that and ended up with a period every 2 weeks.
I threw up at Walmart luckily I made it to the bathroom and then threw up again when I got home. I had taken my daily meds and then promptly threw them up. I am feeling a bit better now and can actually see without the blinding lights in my eyes. But my question is if it is hormonal is there any herbs I can take to help prevent this? Jan

I too suffer from migraines. They are horrible. I've not tried any herbs but an herb that is used for migraines is feverfew. It was used by the Victorians and it is still used today. I hope you are still feeling better.

I agree, jbug. I only ever got a headache - and always an awful migraine - as part of PMS. Do tell your primary doctor or ob doctor because there are medications to help.

I have hormonal migraines. I had success with feverfew for a little while but it did not last for me. I actually had to go on hormone therapy, in addition to a few other things too. I hope yours aren't as severe as mine. Perhaps the feverfew might help though.
Hoping for the best for you meanwhile. ![]() |
