grrr I never received my lab results... and had called them for (after a month! my MD hadn't gotten them either) they said they'd fax them... so they now have.. but I only received the first page not the second... I think this is worse than none at all.
Anyway, my cholesterol is ok, considering HDL is only 39 but LDL is only 117 don't know triglycerides (yet) My hemoglobin is UP to 10.5 I think it had been 9.6 the beginning of the year (I've been eating twice as much red meat.. thus I am ok on the cholesterol #s) hemocrit? I should know this stuff.. and whether it's good or not or how to make it better is any of this worth "it?"

LDL is best below 100 now days most peoole do well to get it under 150..mine runs 79
HDL is the good the higher the better 40 and up for a woman is best..thats hard to do btw even mine is in the 30's what else did you want to know? I have to go eat but I am wayyy smart on lipids

HOLY COW..I just ate 3 hotdogs..I can do that I exercise a LOT...ok.....I see your question better it depends on the lab and all but as you are USA AND ALL its uusally for women
12 - 16 grams per deciliter mine is borderline too high ..which is a disease but I am not yet there..HTH

yeah I think 12 is the lowest healthy/safe number for hemoglobin... I've been anemic for so many years now!
