I suffered a concussion a few days ago after a major fall and blow to the head. I am having intense headaches or headache since it hasn't really stopped.

The pain is sooo intense. I also suffer from migrains, and ice pick headaches as well as cluster headaches. I am used to having them. What I am worried about is meds. The pain is very intense, Usually when I have a headache I will suffer through without any medications. I feel like I need something now it's so bad. But I am worried about my other meds. I am taking lithium and cannot take acetaminophen or other NSAID's with it, it increases my lithium level too much. I am also taking Zyprexa which I only started a few weeks ago and Oxazepam was added yesterday for sleep. Haha uggh what can I take? Any ideas? Tylenol with codeine gives me terrible rebound headaches, and Tylenol alone does nothing.

Or anythting I could do, I don't know heat ice, something. I know my neck and back are pretty bruised.

I hope this does not last too long

Sorry you're in terible pain. Did you get yourslf checked after this concussion by a doctor?? Can you take ibuphropen like advil or motrin? If you haven't been checked since this head injury, please do see a doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry Lynn I made a mistake, noo ibuphropen, wasn't thinking while my hands were typing.

I did see a dr. right after the fall. But I didn't have a massive headache then either, so I didn't ask about pain meds.

Thank you, sorry for my mistake.

I'm a bit concerned about you, hon. My mother fell and hit her head and wound up bleeding into her brain. If you haven't already, I would strongly recommend getting in to see a doctor or going to the ER and having a CT scan done to make sure there wasn't any internal damage.
